Individual Counseling

At DK Therapy, we believe every person has a unique life story and concerns. We offer an individualized and personal approach for each client. Using a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), when providing individual counseling, we do not just ‘sit there and nod.’ Our clients experience our approach to be interactive and one that holds them accountable.

We view therapy as a collaborative process and work with our clients to provide them with evidence-based tools and skills necessary to make changes to live more fulfilling and meaningful lives. We will often assign clients homework or exercises to work on between sessions to further their growth and improvement.

Our therapists offer individual counseling or therapy sessions for those who might need support in any of the following areas:

  • Managing life transitions
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Self-improvement
  • Managing work stress
  • Anxiety/Worrying
  • Depression and mood issues
  • Coping with Grief and Loss
  • Dating Struggles
  • Stress Management
